Jumped on the scale this morning......wait for it......almost 4 pounds less since last time! That's 21 pounds so far. Woo hoo! Why yes, I did do a happy dance right there on the scale.
To be fair, I did start a new medication that has the possible side effects of appetite suppression and weight loss about a week ago. But, I have also been very diligently keeping a food diary (My Fitness Pal app), watching my portion sizes, staying as far away as possible from sugar & upping my water intake. So is it the med, my efforts, or both? Don't know, so I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing.
I do notice that my energy has increased. Enough so that I am doing more around the house Bonus - cleaner house! I'm also actually doing all those little tips for increasing your activity level. Park at the far end of the parking lot, use the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
So today's choice for joy is staying committed to my efforts to live healthfully.
